It is an extremely didactic practical book that combines Data Mining and Business knowledge, providing all the necessary information for designing, setting up, executing and deploying Data Mining techqniues in CRM.
I would absolutely recommend it because it offers all the necessary theoretical and practical knowledge on Data Mining techniques in a very detailed and easy to read way and actually bridges the gap between science and decision making.

An Innovative Book for Predictive Analytics Applications

The scope of the book is to be an applied guide instead of another generic reference book on data mining and CRM. And in my opinion it certainly succeeds. Data mining algorithms are presented in plain English for business users, along with detailed roadmaps for applying predictive analytics in every-day marketing. And all the above with illustrative examples and the use of popular software tools.
The last part of the book features realistic case studies from banking, retail and telecoms. Given the level of detail and the companion site material, the presented case studies can be used as application templates.
In spite of not covering some recent trends and algorithms, the book is definitely a 5-star and a must-have for marketers and data mining practitioners.
