Great base plan, but too many surprise, hidden fees

I rated this three stars because of his suggestions for eating a clean and healthy diet. The first half of his book is reviewing multiple diet lifestyles that have hit the market, and while I appreciated the overviews nearly every diet had a 'downside' besides personal friends of his, or diets that mirrored his own. He does state in the beginning of the book to read the diet reviews and choose one that fits best with your lifestyle, which makes it appear as though he's truly giving the reader an option, however with his 'pros and cons' list of each one he doesn't make any solution but his own seem acceptable.
If I had already been a follower of KC Craichy I may not have been so surprised at all the additional costs to properly follow his diet recommendations, but unfortunately before this book I was not familiar with him.
His base diet is fantastic - organic fruits and veggies, farm raised animals, wild caught fish - I'm looking for a clean, healthy way of living and his suggestions on that front are incredible.
What I didn't appreciate were his recommendation for smoothies throughout the day. Each smoothie recipe contains nearly 3 of his "Super Foods" from his brand of Living Fuel. I've bought whey protein powders in the past, so fine. When I went to the website, each container costs nearly $100! I'm sorry, but I'm not willing to spend a minimum of $300 to eat 2 smoothies per day - who knows how long the containers last with the amount he suggests be consumed. I'm hopeful I can find an ingredient list and possibly supplement his extremely overcharged products with something from another health food store that will be equally beneficial for a fraction of the cost.
For $0.99 on the Kindle, this was a good purchase. However, I would have been extremely disappointed had I bought the $16 version and read through nearly 300 pages only to discover I need to dish out hundreds of dollars to follow his plan.

Super Health, Super Book!

I was familiar with author KC Craichy from his first book, " Super Health, the 7 golden keys". My initial concern was that the Super Health Diet would be a rehash of the original book. While some of the original content is present, the new book has so much more information. Our family has a history of diabetes and dementia and we strive to do all we can to eat healthy and limit big pharma drugs. Surprisingly, these 2 diseases, along with many others, are covered in The Super Health Diet. The authors wholistic approach to disease prevention is timely. And, yes, it is also a diet as in weight loss. Unlike pure weight loss books, this diet book takes that uses a complete regimen of nutrition, sleep,, stress reduction, proper hydration, super foods, super antioxidants and so much more to create a healthy plan. I didn't think it would be possible to build significantly on his very good previous book, but Mr. Craichy has done it. If your family or any loved one, neighbor, co-worker , etc is not living with optimal health, buy them this book!!!

Health advocate and public speaker K.C. Craichy wrote this book entitled The Super Health Diet: The Last Diet You Will Ever Need. He is the Founder and CEO of a company called LivingFuel, Inc. and he has quite the story to tell about the health and weight issues both he and his former Miss Florida and Miss Florida USA wife Monica have had to deal with. Nowadays, K.C. is attempting to help change people's lives one person at a time with the powerful and effective strategies he has discovered to heal his own health problems. I think you'll enjoy many of the themes he hits on in this book because they are quite familiar to people who have been following diet and health for the past few years--and even some nuances in his thinking that will get your blood pressure up!

But I can appreciate K.C. Craichy's desire for people to find what works for them. And I couldn't agree more.
